Cheyanne Summer is a performer seasoned in the motifs of her roots. Country, rock, and blues come naturally, and her forays into the music world thus far have embraced those traits and woven them into a seamless idiosyncratic blend that has positioned her as a fresh take on vocally focused and pop sensible song-craft. Her Western Canadian roots, born and raised in Kelowna, and crafting established roots in Calgary, exposed her to not just country music and timeless classics like Patsy Cline and Garth Brooks, but the music scene as a whole including festival culture and live shows from her earliest memories.

As a musical omnivore and passionate songstress, Cheyanne has been hearing and interpreting diverse genres since she decided to sing, which imbues a timeless quality to her music and encourages a broad variety of collaborators, styles, and production techniques with every release. Despite her folksy roots, she’s not afraid to make bold creative decisions, which leads to a sultry, moody, jazz-inflected hip hop tune like iSpy; conversely, she can turn on her alternative charm with a song like Circles, an emotive and vulnerable song which takes her vocals all over her expressive soprano range.

As her first few singles and releases have hit worldwide platforms, Cheyanne’s drive and motivation has continued to bring new collaborators into her diverse projects. She’s been her own agent, promoter, and marketer and has branched into festival production and talent booking herself, with the full knowledge that her passion for the industry would create the connections and repertoire she needs to drive her career forward. To that end, she is also the co-founder of Peach Jam Records, her own home for self-released music, and a hub for the community of creatives she finds herself at the centre of.

As her career and reach build, 2022 will be remembered as the year Cheyanne Summer broke out. In that year she reached 100,000 streams for Circles and 180,000 total on demand streams, including #21 on the Local Pulse: Riga Spotify chart in June and #132 on the R&B/Soul: Norway Apple Music Charts in March.

In June 2022, NEXT Magazine listed Cheyanne as one of their top 40 essential artists to watch at NXNE (North by Northeast), where she played in Toronto’s Wheatsheaf Tavern, the oldest bar in the city.  Closer to home, Circles was nominated for Alternative Recording of the year at the YYC Music Awards in September, and Cheyanne sold out a headlining showcase at Junction in Calgary not long before being selected to play at the Canadian Country Music Awards’ Off-Country showcase at Cold Garden Beverage Company. Her most recent notable performance was at the 2024 Calgary Stampede Window On The West stage.

Her recent release "Please" debuted at 34 on the iTunes Canadian Pop Charts and spent months on the CICC (Canadian Indie Country Countdown) reaching #2 on the chart.

Cheyanne has been a regular on radio and in digital publications at home and across Canada, including interview features on CBC’s Calgary Eyeopener on CBC Radio 1, features in over 20 online publications such as The Calgary Guardian and 10at10 Calgary, international radio play on The Hitmix 107.5 (UK), and local radio play including CJSW, X92.9, CKUA, CKWV, CBC, 89.3 FM, 103.7 FM, 85.5 FM and more.
